Anna and I went on a long nature walk. We are talking about three hours or so. We started at Lockamora (for all those that know what that means!), walked through the woods about 2 miles and ended up in the Yakima camp ground where we found another trail, walked that until we found government property so we turned around and walked back to Lockamora, hopped in the car drove to Far West where we did our little dancing on the stage, walked the trails there for a couple of miles, found an old scary shack, did a heat dance around the fire pit and kept on walking. Saw some deer, headed for the car, got the car muddy, returned to camp for dinner, played “Slamwich” and “Carnival Clue”, packed up and headed back to Far West to look @ the stars. I did confess I was a little anxious because I am afraid of the dark, especially in the woods. I hopped out of the car after we scared ourselves looking at this large alienish pile of rocks and dirts and trees, pulled out the lantern, my oversized sleeping bag, and large blanket, was getting ready to lay it down when I heard, “LAURA, get back in the car, NOW! HURRY! Get in the car” so my heart starts beating six million beats a second and I run back to the car imagining a bear coming running towars us because Anna said there was an animal coming for is. Needless to say, it was hard trying to stuff everything in the front seat. I was panicking and couldn’t shut the door. I finally did turned on the car and Anna told me to turn around and see what it was. I’ll give you one guess: a deer!!! Anna said, okay, let’s get back out and see the stars. I did not agree with that after being scared to death so we went to another field closer to people. It ended up being a lot of fun and we laughed a lot under the stars. I am really lucky to have such a good roommate. Most people want to get away from their roommates. Anna is truly family!
